Last Thursday, December 3rd, the inauguration of the new facilities of SERVEI S.A. in Tarragona was held, with an exhibition of the full range of self-propelled aerial work platforms, basket trucks, special platforms and a display of front and indoor forklifts, rough terrain telehandlers, etc. with 45 machines of different models exhibited for the occasion.
The event was attended by representatives of different companies from the chemical, industrial maintenance, construction, transport, logistics and training sectors, among others. All of them were customers, collaborators, suppliers and representatives of official organizations.
The act was developed by Nicolás Pecino, Commercial Delegate of SERVEI in Tarragona, with the interventions of Sofia Gabarró, Manager of the company of which we highlight an excerpt of his speech. Gonzalo Garriga, Sales Manager, emphasized the value of the service concept as the main axis on which the company’s policy revolves and finally Ramón Gabarró, President and founder of SERVEI S.A. thanked everyone for their attendance and the attention received.
The inauguration concluded with an aperitif and a glass of cava, in which all attendees were able to comment and share the event, in which we presented the new corporate video of the company and the spot to promote the presence of SERVEI S.A. in social networks and increase its positioning on the Internet.
Summary of Sofía Gabarró’s speech
Our beginnings date back to 1973 in Sabadell, when we started renting and repairing forklifts and other industrial vehicles. In the 90’s we incorporated in our fleet the first units of elevating platforms for people.
We were among the first companies to offer long-term rental contracts (known as leasing) for forklifts. The first long-term customers were multinational companies, which did not have a deep-rooted sense of ownership. Nowadays, many companies prefer renting, not only because of the economic-financial advantages, but also because they do not have to worry about the management of the fleet. As specialists, we are in charge of maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting, safety checks, documentation management, adaptation of the machines to the regulations in force at all times, environmental issues such as waste management and monitoring, etc.
With all the experience of these years, we are not perceived as a simple rental of lifting machinery, but our vocation, our DNA contains all the service we offer in the rental and our obsession for safety.
We have a team of people very involved in the project, who make the needs of customers and a rental fleet of about 500 machines that we constantly renew, retiring those that do not offer us reliability. We make a great effort to invest in new equipment, incorporating the latest market innovations adapted to new technologies. We always keep in mind that they are working elements that we put at the disposal of people, who obviously must be trained and prepared for their use, but that we maintain them so that they are in optimal safety conditions. We will never rent a machine in which we ourselves are not able to climb, because the necessary safety guarantees are not given.
As a family business, our policy is to think long term and not limit ourselves to the short term. To this policy followed for so many years, we have been grateful in recent times of unfavorable economic situation, that we have been strengthened and prepared to meet new challenges without ever losing our maxims: maximum SERVICE, maximum SAFETY and continue to be a socially responsible company.
In 2007 we opened our delegation in Girona and today, after a few months of effort and preparation, we celebrate the opening of this new office in Tarragona. We decided to open it to better serve the customers we already have here, because proximity is what allows us to offer a better service, because of the potential of the territory and because we know that we can perfectly meet the requirements of companies in Tarragona in terms of service and security.
